The first quarter of the year has been a huge conferencing success for both Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! in Cape Town and Melrose Arch lifestyle precinct in Johannesburg.
Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Cape Town’s general manager Johan Cronje said their conference venues did several hundred covers per week in the first three months of the year.
“It’s been a flying start and we hope to see this as a trend for the remainder of the year. Much of our popularity is because of the uniqueness of our product offering and the little extras that can be provided during a conference such as head massages and Playstation chill rooms. Our conferencing menus are also exceptional.”
Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch general manager Anton Gillis said he was extremely happy with bookings for the first part of the year, and looking forward to the next few months.
“We’ve seen a host of different industries conferencing in our hotel since the beginning of the year, including financial institutions, IT companies and investment houses.
The Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! in Cape Town and Melrose Arch offer exceptional accommodation and conference venues. Both hotels are hip, funky, urban and edgy, with design surprises at every turn.
Whether it’s going up in a shark cage lift to the pool deck in Cape Town to enjoy a drink, or lounging with friends in a private pod in Melrose Arch, the hotels are certainly unique.
While the rooms of the new Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch reflect the Hollywood glamour theme, the Cape Town hotel has new executive suites which are ideal for long stay business travellers and conference delegates who tend to stay more than a night or two.
The uber-sleek and stylish design boasts everything a demanding executive would need, such as semi-self catering facilities, air-conditioning, wooden floors and luxurious finishes. The executive suites, with double-volume windows, also boast flat-screen LCD televisions, laptop safes and opulent king-size beds guaranteeing the experience will be like a home away from home.
Protea Hospitality Group Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue, Danny Bryer, said the suites have been designed with the long stay executive in mind. “We understand that travelling on individual business and for conferences can add up to many nights away from home so these spacious rooms offer luxurious facilities and amenities to meet and exceed our GUESTS needs.”
