Francisco Caceres Garcia, winner of the Les Nouvelles Esthetiques Spa Management Excellence Award 2011, has taken over the management of the luxurious spa at Arabella Hotel & Spa, managed by African Pride Hotels.
Through the success of the previous awards, the Les Nouvelles Esthetiques Spa Awards increases in stature each year, providing South African and international spa visitors and media with a comprehensive choice of award-winning spas, and a reliable source of spa information and recommendations within the country. The awards were made earlier this month at a gala dinner in Sandton, Johannesburg.
“Spas offer a precious refuge from a frenzied lifestyle. A time and place to relax and disconnect from the world as you recharge your mind, body and spirit, and an opportunity to bring your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves back into alignment. In whatever amount of time one can afford, spas provide peace, relaxation and guidance to help create a healthier lifestyle,” said Dr Nadine de Freitas, Managing Editor of Les Nouvelles Esthetiques, South Africa.
The 2011 Spa Awards consisted of five spa categories and a number of awards for those who work in the industry.
The award noted Garcia’s all-round industry expertise that contributed to his winning the Spa Management Excellence category: “Francisco is a charming host. He is efficient, polite and wonderful with guests, suppliers and staff alike. Francisco is highly attentive and innovative and is always balancing the needs of his guests with the demands of the facility and the staff. One never feels under pressure, and he always has time to give the extra attention that keeps guests coming back. “
The multi award-winning five star Arabella Hotel & Spa is a dream destination for meetings and conferencing, or just relaxing in the elegant spa and on the Peter Matkovich Championship Arabella Golf Course. The Arabella Hotel & Spa is situated just over an hour's drive from Cape Town. It is near the southernmost tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas, and on the outskirts of South Africa’s whale-watching capital, Hermanus. The area is also famous for Great White Shark cage diving, and for its pristine fynbos in the Biosphere Reserve that surrounds the hotel. South Africa’s celebrated Winelands region is less than an hour’s drive away.
Group Marketing Manager of the Protea Hospitality Group, Nicholas Barenblatt, said Garcia had recently transferred within the African Pride Hotel group from the African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa to the Arabella Hotel & Spa. “Francisco embodies the service culture, professionalism and expertise that are the hallmarks of African Pride Hotels. We offer him sincere congratulations and look forward to seeing his personal touch enhancing the Arbella Spa,” said Barenblatt.
