Zuurberg

The Zuurberg are a beautiful mountain range in the Eastern Cape that offers visitors unrivalled views of the bushveld landscape, best explored on horseback. The Sundays River travels sleepily beneath these mountains, which are ideal for fishing and picnicking.

The Addo Elephant National Park is tucked into the bosom of the Zuurberg valley, and provides the ultimate elephant experience. More than 420 elephants roam in peace amongst a variety of game, including the Black Rhino. The Park is the third largest in South Africa, and provides excellent game viewing opportunities in a malaria-free environment.

Adventure lovers are spoiled for choice in the Zuurberg, which is a popular for its many 4x4 and horseback trails, excellent hiking trails and prolific birdlife. It is the perfect place for those who want to get away from it all and enjoy nature's splendour at its very best.
