Vodacom Journalist of the Year

Protea Hotels has been chosen as the hotel partner to the Vodacom Journalist of the Year, the country’s premier journalism award that celebrates a decade of existence this year.

From its humble birth in 2001, Vodacom Journalist of the Year has awarded and continues to award the very best in the media profession, across the entire spectrum of disciplines and mediums, from on-camera TV presenters, online bloggers and print journalists, to the unseen champions behind the scenes.

The awards have proven to be a significant launching pad for many promising young media stars. The goal of nurturing the nascent talent of tomorrow has certainly been achieved over the last ten years as many past winners have gone on to hone their craft in some of the top media houses and newsrooms, both locally and abroad.
