Protea's Best Rate Guarantee ("The Guarantee") ensures that customers receive the best available room rate when making a reservation through Proteahotels.com.

If you book through Proteahotels.com and then find a lower publicly available rate within 24 hours for the same hotel, room type and dates anywhere on an Internet travel site, through a travel agency and/or travel management company, the hotel will match the lower rate and give an additional 10 percent off, subject to those terms and conditions listed below:

• No refunds will be given. We will however amend the booking to the lower rate.
• The guarantee does not include rates that have been negotiated by the hotel with corporations, membership rates, government rates, promotional rates or travel agency rates; only publicly available rates apply.
• The competing rate must also be for the same number of guests on the same dates as the original booking, for the same length of stay.
• The type of room for which the application of The Guarantee is sought must be the same type and quality of room as booked on the Protea web site.
• The Guest must reserve the accommodation at the lower rate and provide Protea with a confirmed reservation number.
• The Guarantee does not include web sites or rates where the hotel brand and specific hotel are not known until the booking is made via third party intermediary sites.
• The Guarantee does not include other web sites' published rates that "package" travel, entertainment, hotel and/or food components, such as: airfare + hotel stay, hotel stay + car rental or similar packages.
• Protea reserves the right to modify or cancel this offer and the terms and conditions thereof at any time in its sole discretion, without prior notice to members.
• Please note that all rates on the Proteahotels.com website are nett and non-commissionable.
