From Cape Town - On the N2 (to Airport):

1. Take the R44 turnoff in the direction of Stellenbosch.
2. Follow the road for approximately 14 km until you get to the set of traffic lights with the Stellenbosch Square Mall on your right hand side and the De Zalze Estate on your right.
3. Continue to the next set of Traffic lights for the Technopark turn off on the left
4. Continue 1Km up the road. Protea Hotel Stellenbosch is situated on top of the hill

From Cape Town - On the N1 (to Paarl):

1. Take the Stellenbosch and Klipheuwel turn off on your left
2. At the T- junction, turn right.
3. Continue for approximately 15 min, past the 1st set of traffic lights at Khayamandi, past the 2nd set and at the 3rd set of traffic lights, turn right onto the R44.
4. Continue past the Parmalat and Medi Clinic offices on your left, after which you will get a set of traffic lights with a garage to the left.
5. Continue over till you get to the next set of traffic lights.
6. Turn right at these traffic lights into Techno Park.
7. Continue 1Km up the road. Protea Hotel Stellenbosch is situated on top of the hill.

Rooms

The hotel consists of 180 rooms all overlooking either the Kleine Zalze and Blaauwklippen wine estates, Table Mountain and False bay, or Stellenbosch vineyards. Rooms consist of 4 Executive Rooms, 88 Deluxe Rooms and 88 Twin Bedded Rooms.

Executive Rooms consist of a king size bed and lounge area with a full en-suite bathroom with separate shower. Fitted with a plasma screen television and mini kitchenette, this room has been designed with the Executive traveller in mind.

Deluxe Rooms consist of a double bedroom with king size bed, separate lounge area and kitchenette, as well as an en-suite bathroom including separate shower. King beds can also be converted to 2 single beds and the lounge of the Deluxe Rooms easily accommodates a thrd person sharing.

Twin rooms consist of two beds with en-suite shower only. King beds can also be converted to 2 single beds and the lounge of the Deluxe Rooms easily accommodates a third person sharing. These rooms can be booked as a family unit, which combines the Deluxe and Twin room to form an apartment, ideal for families and groups.

The Protea Hotel Stellenbosch offers you a conferencing experience like no other. Our services include an all in one solution concept that gives you a venue with the opportunity to create your own spectacular event based on fun, facts, funky and fantasy. A venue to suit all needs, all budgets!!

Being the largest conferencing facility in Stellenbosch, you don't have to cut the GUEST list. Our practical conferencing rooms, facilities and STAFF assistance will ensure that your conference is successful. Surrounded by rolling mountains and exceptional natural beauty, Stellenbosch is where you want to be.

Our facilities can accommodate up to 700 delegates in 10 different conferencing venues.

The first floor Magnifica Suite can either be booked as one venue catering for up to 250 banquet style, 300 cinema and 220 schoolroom. This room can also be divided and booked into 3 separate venues. With a ceiling height of 4.5m, this adds significant height and volume to the conference rooms.

The second floor provides two conferencing facilities, either of which can also be either booked as one venue, catering for up 160 banquet style, 130 cinema and 180 schoolroom. This room can also be divided and booked as 2 separate venues.

A Boardroom seating 20 with a balcony overlooking the De Zalze vineyards is ideal for small meetings.

The Aristata extension has been added onto the existing Aristata restaurant, thus making this area available for both conference and banquet.

The Black Bull Restaurant is also available for conference bookings during the day and will be able to accommodate 30 delegates in a U-shape, 40 delegates in schoolroom style and 50 GUESTS for cinema-or cocktail style.

An outside amphitheatre overlooking the Kleine Zalze Vineyards is ideal for that sunset concert or team building activity.

A dedicated Braai and Pizza oven facility makes this the ideal end off to any conference or training session

Tea and coffee is served inside or out with some breaks being themed. Natural light, fresh air and flow makes the conference rooms great for training.

An internet station with computers is available for conference GUESTS to use, in addition to the whole facility being equipped with wireless technology. With an audio visual specialist contracted to the hotel, the headache of equipment failure is removed from your list of things to worry about.

The conference venue currently has:

1. An extended 30m exterior deck, which allows you to enjoy your tea/coffee breaks outside.
2. Natural lighting, as well as 100% black out curtains.

Walk through a magical habitat at Butterfly World and view all these beautiful creatures up close and personal. Mooiberge and Mountain Breeze farm stalls, gives you the chance to do some strawberry picking! If that’s not enough, stop off at the Toy and Miniature Museum offering a collection of miniature toys and dolls.

Mom and Dad can also enjoy a day with you, so let them taste some wines at Spier while you guys can touch the cheetahs, learn more on magnificent birds of prey at Raptor World or even enjoy a pony ride!

Le Bonheaur Crocodile Farm is another adventure not to be missed, where over 200 farm bred Nile crocodiles are on view!

For a crazy, adrenaline-rush day, why not take a tour on a quad bike?

If you dare to venture out of Stellenbosch, ask mom and dad to take you to Ratanga Junction for the ride of your life, with loads of rides to keep you entertained for hours! Maybe take a drive to the V&A Waterfront and visit the Two Oceans Aquarium and see almost all the marine life possible under one roof!
