The 75-seater Ship to Shore Restaurant over looks the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront, so close to the shore that when the restaurant doors are opened up Al-fresco Style you can smell the fresh ocean air.  A Full English Breakfast is served from 06:30 to 10:30 Monday to Friday and 06:30 to 10:30 on Saturday and Sunday.
An A la Carte Lunch menu is served. The menu has a wide variety of creative dishes to choose from and ‘to die for’ cakes, desserts and milkshakes.

• The hotel is 12 km from the Richards Bay Airport and 180 North of Durban
   
  From RICHARDS BAY AIRPORT to PROTEA HOTEL WATERFRONT RICHARDS BAY
• Exit the Richards Bay Airport on Fish Eagle Flight Road
  Follow Fish Eagle Flight Road until you come to a 4-way stop intersection
  At this intersection turn right onto Nkoninga Road
  At the slip road turn left onto East Central Arterial Road
  You will cross over two sets of traffic lights
  At the third sets of traffic lights turn left onto North Central Arterial Road
  Continue down this road until you reach a T-junction
  At the T-Junction turn left towards Meerensee suburb
  You are now driving on the John Ross Parkway (R34)
  Continue along this road, crossing over one set of traffic lights
  Take the first turning to the right (towards the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront)
  Take the first turning to the right, driving along this road and cross over a Steele Bridge
  Carry on along this road which will lead you to the hotel
