Restaurant

The 4 star Protea Hotel Wanderers offers a 24–hour Express Deli serving packaged–to–go light snacks and a 24–hour Coffee & Cocktail Bar. The use of lighting features and surround–sound produce a modern, vibey cafe–style atmosphere with a separate upmarket smoking lounge.

Located on the ground floor of the Hotel leading out to the pool deck, the BIG APPLE Restaurant is open 7 days a week. A full buffet breakfast is offered each morning from 06:30 to 10:30, a lunch menu is available from 12:00 to 18:00 in both the Restaurant and on the pool deck and an a la carte Dinner Menu is available in the evenings from 18:00 until 22:30.

Conference facilities

The 4 star Protea Hotel Wanderers offers conferencing facilities for up to 100 delegates. There are four Boardrooms seating from 10 – 16 people, with executive boardroom facilities. The surrounding sporting facilities of the Wanderers Club allow for company sports days and large–scale outdoor events.

Activities

Besides the use of the Hotel's outdoor pool, all GUESTS become temporary members of the Wanderers Club (50m from the hotel). This allows for access to the Tennis and Squash Courts (bring your own equipment) as well as entry into the Pub, Restaurant and Kiddies Play area. The Planet Fitness Centre is located 400m from the Hotel offering full state–of–the–art Gym facilities and a beauty salon. DIRECTIONS FROM O.R. TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - JOHANNESBURG (28km)
Take the R24 to Johannesburg.  Follow the signs to N3 to Pretoria. Turn off the freeway at R25 Modderfontein Rd (Edenvale). Go left towards Sandringham/Edenvale. You will pass the Edenvale General Hospital on your left. Turn right at the traffic lights past the hospital into Wordsworth Way M30W. Continue on this road until it becomes Corlett Drive. Continue underneath the M1, past the Wanderers Cricket Stadium on your right. At the traffic lights turn left into Rudd Road. The hotel is on the corner and the entrance is on Rudd Road.

DIRECTIONS FROM the M1, CONNECTING JOHANNESBURG AND PRETORIA
Take the Corlett Drive off ramp and drive west on Corlett Drive past the Wanderers Cricket Stadium. At the next traffic lights, turn left into Rudd Road and then left into Hotel.

Each of our superbly designed and appointed, modern bedrooms offer en–suite bathrooms with separate bath and shower, an executive workdesk and leather chair, computer and modem plug–points with wireless internet access. They are equipped with satellite television, electronic safes and full blackout curtains.   Standard Rooms – STD (SDN, SDS, STN or STS)
  These rooms are the standard rooms within the Hotel. i.e. SDN & SDS (King Size bed) and STN & STS  (2 ¾ Beds pushed together) with an executive work desk, Flat screen TV’s , Tea/Coffee making facilities, En suite bath & shower (separate).

Deluxe Rooms – (DDN or DDS)
These rooms are a lot bigger than the standard rooms, however, there are only as certain amount per floor as they are located on the corners of the Hotel. The facilities and décor are exactly the same as our standard rooms. The only main difference in the rooms smalls is that there is a coffee plunger on the tea/coffee station where the standard rooms don’t. These are ideal for GUESTS with an extended stay.

Executive Rooms (EXS, EXN, ETS or ETN)
These rooms are situated on the 06th & 07th floors only. Although they are the same size as the standard rooms, the in room décor is different. Plasma screen TV’s, Tea/Coffee station is more modern (silver kettle as opposed to the black plastic kettle in the standard rooms etc)

Superior Rooms (SUT, SUN)
These rooms are larger than those of the standard category. They include 2 separate ¾ beds with a side table in between.

Suite (SJS, SJN)
These rooms are larger than the standard rooms incorporating a separate lounge. The bathrooms are more spacious with a double basin. The lounge couch does unfold to a sleeper couch as well. Plasma screen tv in the lounge and bedroom.

Physically Challenged Rooms (PHN)
These rooms are for the physically challenged. Spacious with lowered controls (air conditioner and light switches) including roll in shower, handle bars for toilet and lowered toweling racks.
Sliding doors for the cupboard and bathroom.

Conferencing

Modern technology and exceptional elegance is the name of the game in the up to 100 seater meeting room within the hotel, as well as the 3 boardrooms seating from 10 - 16 pax, with executive boardroom facilities.
