Protea Hotel The Park is situated in the magnificent Waterberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province.  Protea Hotel The Park is established in a natural environment and is the ideal getaway where travelers en route to Botswana, Zimbabwe and the Kruger National Park. Accommodation in 125 en-suite rooms is spacious and luxurious, with every modern convenience that can be expected.  In additional The Park has recently built 25 self catering units with kitchenettes, making them ideal for longer stays.  

GUESTS and residents of Protea Hotel The Park in Mokopane can now enjoy dining in the new restaurant, The Terrace.  It seats 240 people in the dining area, and has a buffet style layout.  The outdoor Terrace seating 40 people and the new bar area seating 60 people.  This is all set in a comfortable, modern and relaxed atmosphere.  The Terrace also has the option of offering an à la Carte menu should visitors choose an alternative dining experience. 

Conference facilities are available for up to 400 delegates, as are the secure parking facilities.

Location

In the heart of the Limpopo Province, about 3 hours drive from Johannesburg, 60km from Polokwane, 2 hours from the Zimbabwe border and 2 hours from the Botswana border.

DIRECTIONS 

1. Follow N1 North from Gauteng. 
2. At the fourth tollgate (Nyl Plaza), +/- 200 Km north of Pretoria. take the exit (extreme left) and follow for Mokopane.
3. At the top of the off-ramp, turn left onto N11.
4. After 1.5kms, turn right at the T-Junction, onto the R101. This road continues through the town and becomes Thabo Mbeki Drive.
5. PROTEA HOTEL THE PARK is the last building in Mokopane, situated on the left hand side of Thabo Mbeki Drive (just after the black train).
6. Turn left into Beitel street and you will see the Hotel entrance opposite the Caltex Garage.

We are 14kms from the tollgate.

Luxurious, spacious and comfortable accommodation comprises 125 rooms, of which 80 are double, 16 are inter-leading and 2 are suites.  25 Long stay units have been added, ideal for guests who need to extend their stays longer than average or on contracts in the area. 

All rooms are en-suite, with air-conditioning; satellite TV, M-net, telephone, radio, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

The Terrace restaurant offers GUESTS a pleasant dining experience and a menu that has been carefully selected by our food and beverage team.  The menu leans towards the traditional South African flavours, and includes some of the best mouthwatering, tender beef cuts in the North and fresh organic vegetables grown from our very own garden! 

The restaurant is surrounded by exclusively different furniture and fittings including high-back chairs, solid oak bar and unique metal art designs on the walls.  The Terrace seats 240 GUESTS and offers the option of either buffet or à la Carte dining. 

The Terrace restaurant is open from early morning to late in the evenings, times as follows: 
Breakfast from 06H00-10H00
Lunch from 12H00 – 14H30,
Dinner from 06H30 – 22H30
