Facilities at the Protea Hotel Stellenbosch include:

1. A resident's bar with a cosy fire place inside and a sun deck overlooking the Kleine Zalze vineyards and De Zalze golf course, with the Helderberg mountains as backdrop
2. The Cultivar Restaurant, catering for up to 220 GUESTS, offers a traditional full English buffet breakfast from 06h30 to 10h30, light lunch from midday onwards and seasonal buffets dinners from 19h00 to 22h30.
3.  The Vineyard Restaurant & Lounge offers a more informal family atmosphere, with seating both inside and out. Here you can enjoy an easy a la carte menu and a cold beer or a glass of wine from the many neighbouring estates. We are a Kids-friendly restaurant. There is a large outside Play Park for sunny days as well as an indoor play area for those rainy days. Join us for our popular Sunday lunch buffet where the kids can enjoy their own kiddies buffet! Flat screens provide the sporting event of the day.
4. Bellezza Health and Skincare Clinic is located on the premises and provide you with all the pamper you need to revitalise your body and mind.
5. All GUESTS enjoy free access to the Total Revolution Health Boutique Gym in Techno Park

From Cape Town - On the N2 (to Airport):

1. Take the R44 turnoff in the direction of Stellenbosch.
2. Follow the road for approximately 14 km until you get to the set of traffic lights with the Stellenbosch Square Mall on your right hand side and the De Zalze Estate on your left.
3. Continue to the next set of Traffic lights for the Technopark turn off on the left
4. Continue 1Km up the road. Protea Hotel Stellenbosch is situated on top of the hill

From Cape Town - On the N1 (to Paarl):

1. Take the Stellenbosch and Klipheuwel turn off on your left
2. At the T- junction, turn right.
3. Continue for approximately 15 min, past the 1st set of traffic lights at Khayamandi, past the 2nd set and at the 3rd set of traffic lights, turn right onto the R44.
4. Continue past the Parmalat and Medi Clinic offices on your left, after which you will get a set of traffic lights with a garage to the left.
5. Continue over till you get to the next set of traffic lights.
6. Turn right at these traffic lights into Techno Park.
7. Continue 1Km up the road. Protea Hotel Stellenbosch is situated on top of the hill.

Executive Rooms has a spectacular view over the mountains and vineyards. These rooms consist of an extra length king size bed and lounge area with a full en-suite bathroom with separate shower. Fitted with a plasma screen television, DVD player and mini kitchenette, this room comes with a complimentary bottle of selected Blaauwklippen Red wine. Furthermore, enjoy fresh roasted coffee from your own Uno Pod coffee machine.

Conferencing

The Protea Hotel Stellenbosch offers you a conferencing experience like no other. Our services include an all in one solution concept that gives you a venue with the opportunity to create your own spectacular event.

Being the largest conferencing facility in Stellenbosch, you don't have to cut the GUEST list. Our practical conferencing rooms, facilities and STAFF assistance will ensure that your conference is successful. Our facilities can accommodate up to 800 delegates in 8 different conferencing venues. With a ceiling height of 4.5m, that adds significant height and volume to the conference rooms.

The Magnifica Suites, booked as one venue, can accommodate up to 250 Banquet style, 400 Cinema and 250 Schoolroom style seating. This room can also be divided and booked into 3 separate venues, accommodating up to 120 GUESTS each.

Our latest addition, Vista and Omega rooms have the most spectacular 180˚ view of the Stellenbosch valley, guaranteed to take your breath away whilst the significant height of the ceilings, not only adding volume, but a true sense of comfort and space in the Venues.

All conference venues have been fitted with the latest high tech audio visual equipment. ; An internet station with computers is available for conference GUESTS to use, in addition to the whole facility being equipped with Wireless Technology (WIFI). If that’s not enough, stop off at the Toy and Miniature Museum offering a collection of miniature toys and dolls.
Mom and Dad can also enjoy a day with you, so let them taste some wines at Spier while you guys can touch the cheetahs, learn more on magnificent birds of prey at Raptor World or even enjoy a pony ride!

Le Bonheaur Crocodile Farm is another adventure not to be missed, where over 200 farm bred Nile crocodiles are on view! See actual WHITE Lions roaming around at the Lion Park at Vredenheim Wine Estate.
Monkey Town is also a fun and exciting place to monkey around and see the Chimps!

For a crazy, adrenaline-rush day, why not take a tour on a quad bike?

If you dare to venture out of Stellenbosch, ask mom and dad to take you to Ratanga Junction for the ride of your life, with loads of rides to keep you entertained for hours!  Maybe take a drive to the V&A Waterfront and visit the Two Oceans Aquarium and see almost all the marine life possible under one roof!

And don’t forget if you just want to relax at the hotel, why not simmer in our warm water pool or play some beach volleyball?  Or ask our friendly receptionists for some board games, DVD’s.
