The brand new Protea Hotel Select Emotan Benin City, opened in February 2013, is the first Protea Hotel in Benin City, Nigeria! The new hotel is located in the heart of Benin City, the capital of Edo State in southern mid-west Nigeria.

The hotel is in approximately 10 minutes from Benin Airport and a short 5-minute drive to Benin Golf Course. The hotel is ideal for both leisure and business travellers.

The hotel’s 94 bedrooms comprise 79 Standard Rooms, 8 Inter-Leading Rooms, 6 Suites and 1 Universally Accessible Room.

A stylish restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. The buffet breakfast is served from 06h30 to 10h30, and both lunch and dinner sittings offer buffet or a la carte options. Lunch is served from 12h30 to 15h30 and dinner from 19h00 to 22h30.

A fully-equipped fitness centre, also located on the ground floor of the hotel with the restaurant, is open to GUESTS daily between 07h00 and 22h00. The hotel has a swimming pool, where you can unwind and cool off from the heat of the day that is synonymous with the region. The hotel is also only 5 minutes away from Benin Golf Course, if you prefer to unwind on the greens instead.

The hotel offers one boardroom and one conference room ideal for seminars, workshops, corporate functions, cocktail parties and product launches. The conference room can accommodate up to 50 delegates, depending on seating configuration:
