Directions from Richards Bay Airport to Protea Hotels Richards Bay

1. When exiting the airport you'll be in FISH EAGLE FLIGHT road. Follow this road until you come to a 4-way stop. Turn right into NKONINGA ROAD
2. Veer left at the Yield sign into East Central Arterial Road
3. Cross over the first set of traffic lights and then over a 4-way stop and continue until you reach the second set of traffic lights (the main intersection)
4. Veer left at the Yield sign. Continue down the main road until you reach the T-Junction, passing John Ross College on your right. Turn left towards Meerensee (R34)
5. You're now on the JOHN ROSS PARKWAY. Continue straight along this road, passing REPTILE CITY on your left and cross over the bridge
6. After the MEERENSEE signboard, the road veers towards the left - keep right and turn right at the break in the island (the brown "hotels" sign will guide you)
7. You're now in HIBBERD DRIVE. Pass the RICHARDS HOTEL and BAYSHORE INN on the right and turn right into the second street - LAUNDER LANE
8. PROTEA HOTEL RICHARDS BAY is on the right hand side, on the corner of LAUNDER & DAVIDSON LANES

3. Dolphin Viewing Platform
   The endangered humpback dolphin and whales can be spotted from the viewing platform at Alkanstrant beach.
   
   
4. Tuzi Gazi Waterfront

Accommodation at the Protea Hotel Richards Bay comprises 66 spacious and comfortable rooms, of which 5 are suites (comprising 1 double bed and 1 single bed), en-suite bathroom with shower, satellite TV, writing desk and tea/coffee making facilities.

Non-smoking rooms are available, as well as facilities for disabled GUESTS.

Conferencing

The Protea Hotel Richards Bay has two facilities available for conferences and meetings, a Conference Room and a Board Room.

The Conference Room can seat from 30 delegates in schoolroom-style to 50 delegates, cinema-style. Facilities available include:

• Flip Charts
  A data Projector is also available.

The L-shaped Board Room can be used for small or medium-sized meetings, with traditional, long table settings or conference type seating arrangements. All standard facilities are available and both the Conference and Board Rooms are air-conditioned.

Our standard conference package include a buffet lunch, morning and afternoon teas and use of the venue.

A popular option for day-conferences is for delegates to enjoy snacks and drinks in the Ladies Bar at the end of the day OR to indulge in some of our delicious homemade pizzas whilst socializing by the swimming pool.
