 Protea Hotel Landmark is situated in a quiet, secure rural setting, adjacent to Shell Ultra City on the N1 Northbound between Gauteng and Zimbabwe only 6.2km from Polokwane’s city centre.

Each of the 80 rooms has a spacious en-suite bathroom/shower and is air-conditioned.  75 rooms are furnished with 2 queen-sized beds, and 5 with king-sized beds (one of these rooms is wheelchair accessible).

The hotel is ideal for the corporate market and offers real value for money.  An executive residents bar and lounge is ideal for informal meetings or get-togethers.
A powerful 250Kva generator guarantees an uninterrupted power supply.

Features

A full continental breakfast with limited hot dishes (eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, and toast) is served in the breakfast room from 07h00 to 10h00. There is a selection of hot drinks including hot chocolate and cappuccino.

A resident's bar is open daily from 17h00 to 22h00 and a fireplace is in the lounge for warming up on cold winter evenings.

A light dinner is served in the restaurant from 18h00 to 21h00 daily, while the "Snappy Snack" offers a unique vending service for beer, mineral water, cigarettes, sweets, chocolates and crisps. The "Whistle Stop" restaurant at the Ultra City provides take-out meals and The Select store is open 24 hours.

Off the restaurant and the bar, situated in a secure fenced area, is the hotel's swimming pool and sundeck.

   9km away, on the Chuniespoort Road - The traditional, as well as the modern, way of living of the Bakoni tribe is shown in the two lapas.
2. Concentration Camp Cemetery
   Kobait street - The camp, set up during the Anglo-Boer War, housed almost 4000 people.
3. Eersteling Monuments
   18km from Pietersburg (Polokwane) on the N1 to Makopane - The first gold crushing site and first gold power plant in South Africa.
4. Gemco LTD
   Plot 124, Ivydale, on the N1 - A treasure chest of semi-precious stone, ivory jewellery, ornaments and stone sculpture.
5. Hunting
   Polokwane is the centre of the hunting mecca of South Africa.
6. Makapan Caves
   Situated between Pietersburg (Polokwane) and Makopane on the N1 -
   Famed for its yield of fossils and the siege of General Potgieter and the Black tribesman for 30 days. Potgieter himself was killed, as well as 1500 tribesmen.
7. Polokwane Art Museum
   Library Gardens - The collection is the most extensive municipal collection outside the well-known centres in the country.

80 bedrooms all individually air-conditioned, with deluxe bathrooms en suite and shower, 9 channel TV, touch-dial telephone, workdesk and tea/coffee making facilities.

All rooms are equipped with modem-friendly computer plugs for laptops. Standard twin rooms have 2 queen size beds only. Non-smoking rooms are available. For disabled GUESTS, we have facilities including a ramp into the reception area and into the restaurant/bar area.

Every bedroom has its own allocated parking bay right outside the room. A same-day laundry service is available Monday to Friday.
