The restaurant, which can seat 250 for Cocktail Functions or 180 Cinema Style for Conference delegates, is open for breakfast from 07h00 - 10h00, Lunch from 12h00 - 15h00 and Dinner from 19h00 - 22h00.

It is a typical sprawling Igboland city of nearly 500 000 inhabitants (the state having 3.361 million inhabitants) is of limited interest to pure leisure travellers, but rather more interesting to the corporate GUEST. The hotel was previously the headquarters for the Igbo (Biafran) Army in the tragic civil war and was fortunate to survive pretty much intact. Nike, mean "with power" in the local Igbo language, is reminiscent of the past.

The city's main street, running roughly north-east to south-west, is Okpara Avenue, along which are many businesses, banks and the post office nearby.

3. Polo Park Amusement Center
   Enugu's amusement park with shops is situated 5 kms from the Protea Hotel Nike Lake. Numerous recreational facilities exist for children and shops range from boutiques to supermarkets.
4. Opi Lake:
   A rich, natural lake in Nsukka Local Government Area, situated 35 km from the Protea Hotel Nike Lake.
5. Ohum Waterfalls
   Situated 10 km from the Protea Hotel Nike Lake is the beautiful waterfalls and river in Ohum, near Ohum Monastery.
6. Onyeama and Okpara Mines
   Prior notification is required before visiting the Okpara and Onyeama Coal Mines, 8 km from the Protea Hotel Nike Lake.
7. Akwuke Beach
   This beautiful lake with beach-like area is still in its natural state. An excellent sightseeing area 5km away from the hotel.
8. Milken Hill
   Milken Hill gets its fame from the valley and hill area surrounded by trees and rocks and is 8 km from the hotel.
9. National Stadium
   Located 6 km from the Protea Hotel Nike Lake, the National Stadium offers sporting activities such as football and basketball. It is an International Stadium, having hosted the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championships.
