Location

Protea Hotel Montrose is halfway between Johannesburg and Durban, on the hill next to Van Rensburg Kop (Drakensberg). It is next to N3, in the Montrose Complex, only 20km on N3 to Harrismith/JHB and 55km from Ladysmith on N3 towards Durban.

The Harrismith Golf Course was designed in 1887 and is the third oldest golf course in South Africa.  The Par72, 18-hole course is adjoined by the Platberg Game Reserve and Botanical Gardens, and makes your game a beautiful scenic experience.  Facilities at the Golf Course include a Full Club house recently revamped, a board room, function facilities and golf carts are available. Other Club facilities for non-golfers include tennis, squash and the bowls club is a short walk away.
