The Palm Terrace Restaurant is an excellent choice for that all important business lunch, while at night offers sophisticated dining in a cosy, intimate atmosphere. A diverse A la Carte menu has been compiled by our Chef, offering a delicious abundance of dishes, all prepared to perfection. A full English Breakfast Buffet is available daily, between 06:30 – 10:30.

The Palm Terrace Restaurant also serves a Jazz Lunch every Sunday, between 12:00 – 14:30, offering an extensive buffet lunch with live music.

Unwind in style in the Hotel's hip and trendy lounge that offers a sophisticated 4 star African feel. Sample some exotic cocktails, or choose from a range of local and imported beers. Conference & Banqueting facilities

The 4 star Hotel promises a superb conferencing experience. The conference room can accommodate up to 200 GUESTS at a time or it can be divided into three differing sizes to suit your needs. In addition the Hotel offers an Executive Boardroom that can seat up to 12 delegates and a Boardroom that can seat 10. Fax and secretarial services are available on request from the Hotel.

Sports and recreation

Attractions

The Protea Hotel Midrand is situated close to various upmarket shopping malls (Centurion Mall, Sandton City, Sandridge and Carlswald Shopping Malls) as well as top–class restaurants. The Sound Stage Theatre provides entertainment on a weekly basis with a range of live shows and Montecasino offers a variety of nightlife options.

The 4-Star Hotel is the ideal base for tours to Soweto, the Lesedi Cultural Village and Gold Reef City (an entertainment complex built on top of one of the original gold mines). The Sterkfontein Caves are home to the discovery of the fossilised bones of the first adult ape–man in 1936 and are well worth a visit.

For nature and animal lovers a visit to the Pilansberg National Park is a must. The De Wildt Cheetah Research Centre and the Lion and Rhino Park are both within an hour's drive from the Protea Hotel Midrand.

Vodacom offers South Africa's first golfing theme park or if you are looking for something more traditional the Hotel is situated close to the Blue Valley Golf Course, designed by Gary Player as well as the Leeukop, Kyalami and Woodmead golf courses.

This 4–Star Hotel offers a variety of room types to suit individual needs. The 177 rooms include 101 Standard Double Rooms with a queen size double bed and armchair with ottoman. The 43 Standard Twin Rooms offer 2 three quarter beds and there are 2 Twin Rooms suitable for GUESTS with disabilities. The 17 Deluxe Rooms have 2 queen size double beds while the 8 Executive Rooms have the queen size double bed, armchair with ottoman, a sleeper couch and coffee table. The 4 Suites offer, in addition, a separate lounge and meeting facility.

All Hotel rooms have en-suite bathrooms, executive work desks and chair, wireless internet access, European & UK adapters, air conditioning, electronic safes that can accommodate laptops and rooms are soundproofed. The double-glazed windows and blackout curtains ensure a good night's rest.
