Location

Protea Hotels Karridene Beach is situated a mere 20 minutes south of Durban, just past the town Amanzimtoti.

Directions from Durban

1. Travel south on the N2
2. Take exit 133 (Kingsburgh)
3. Turn left at stop street and proceed to traffic lights
4. Turn right, following the R102 in the Umkomaas direction
5. At next traffic lights, turn right onto the R102 (Old South Coast Road) and travel for 3,5 km
6. The Protea Hotels Karridene Beach turn-off is on the left

Dining Room
The Oakwoods Restaurant is housed in a glass structure overlooking the Umzimbazi lagoon and the lush Natal vegetation surrounding it. Decor includes stylish granite tables covered in the finest table linen, while designer cane chairs complete the ensemble, forming the perfect setting for hearty buffet breakfasts, a la carte lunches and delicious buffet dinners.

There is also a well appointed bar, with outside terrace area overlooking the pool.

Conference and Banqueting Facilities
8 separate conferencing rooms can accommodate 2 to 200 delegates in a variety of venues - fom plain work areas to boardrooms overlooking the Indian Ocean to dinner dances and banquets for up to 180 GUESTS.

There is a swimming pool,  as well as a smaller pool for kids, a sports centre, 2 squash courts, Mini Golf, pool tables, table tennis, a video arcade, saunas, play park, safe swimming at the beach and volleyball. Deep sea fishing, as well as surf fishing in the area, is of the highest quality and good catches are assured on the local charter boats
4. The Pavillion shopping centre is also situated within half an hours' drive from the hotel and, being the biggest shopping centre in KwaZulu Natal, offers some of the best shopping available.
