The Restaurant
The stylish Protea Hotel Gold Reef City Restaurant, Barney’s, seats over 100 GUESTS and offers a delightful choice in cuisine. Dine privately in the secluded dining area or have a seat in the fresh air on the veranda. Barney’s boasts a tempting dinner menu as well as specials including Seafood or Mongolian braai’s and buffets. An A la Carte menu is available together with the facilities to offer a buffet or a set menu of your choice. Flexible enough to suite your dining demands.

The Bar
Barney’s Tavern, a venue for a cocktail or a beer, a sundowner and even a sports cheer! 2 Plasma screen televisions, a fully licensed bar, a pool table and lounge seating creates an atmosphere almost interchangeable into that of what our GUESTS make of it.

Remarkable new refurbished conference and banqueting venues demonstrate a modern look and feel.
Each venue has its own state of the art equipment including a ceiling mounted data projector, screen and PA system all linked to a touch button digital system. Our Prospectus venue contains partitioning doors that lead into a breakaway room with a big screen television. Protea Hotel Gold Reef City has 5 magnificent venues seating from 10 to 180 Delegates. Each of these venues can be used for conference facilities or for banqueting purposes such as gala dinners, events, functions and weddings. Gold Reef City Casino
The Gold Reef City Casino never sleeps. Located across the road from the Theme Park and offering free entrance to all our GUESTS. A free shuttle across to the Casino is available on request or GUESTS can take a walk over the bridge. The Casino offers a wide variety of entertainment. Blackjack tables, Roulette, slots and games, as well as 5 restaurants, The Back of the Moon Jazz Cafe and The Globe Theatre, showing a variety of shows. Children are entertained at the games arcade within the Casino.

The Lyric Theatre
 The luxurious 1100 seat theatre is reminiscent of the opulence of the world’s great opera houses with its plush fittings and atmosphere. The Apartheid Museum
The Apartheid Museum is located next to the Gold Reef City Theme Park. "This is a journey, not just a destination. A journey to understanding, freedom and equality - maybe the most important lesson you will ever learn." This is a journey through the Apartheid Era and the "struggle" for South Africa's democracy.
