Conferences and Events
We have the venues, catering services and overall infrastructure to host your company's conferences, break-away sessions and teambuilding efforts in rooms equipped with the latest audio-visual technology. We also cater for special occasions and family celebrations. Up to 50 people can be accommodated and various leisure activities can also be arranged. Packages can be customised to include accommodation, meals and various leisure activities.

Directions from Cape Town Airport to Protea Hotel Franschhoek

1. From Cape Town International Airport, take the Borchard’s Quarry turnoff (M22) towards Bellville and the N1
2. From the Borchard’s Quarry turnoff (M22), turn right into Modderdam Road (M10)
3. From Modderdam Road (M10), at the first set of traffic lights, turn right in Stellenbosch Road (M12)
4. From Stellenbosch Road (M12), turn left onto the R300
5. From the R300, turn right onto the N1 dual highway (Eastward directions, towards Paarl)
6. Continue for some distance on the N1 until you reach Exit 47, take the Off-ramp, a sign which reads,   “R44 / R103 Stellenbosch, Klapmuts, Wellington” will appear at the end of the Off-ramp, turn Right
7. Continue along this road for about 400m and, at the 4-way STOP street, carry straight over
8. Continue until you see a sign which says “Franschhoek” and turn left
9. Continue for about 9km until you reach a T-junction
10. Turn Right at the T-junction and follow the road to Franschhoek
11. As you drive into town, you will pass the BP Petrol Station on your left
12. Protea Hotel Franschhoek is situated, 500m past the BP Garage, on your left hand side.

Be sure to set aside time to explore our beautiful wine routes and taste the award-winning vines of the Vignerons de Franschhoek. The Franschhoek Wine Route, mostly along the R45 road, include famous wine estates like Boschendal, Chamonix, Dieu Donne, Graham Beck, La Motte, L'Ormarins, the Rupert & Rothchild Vignerons, and Vrede en Lust. Cheese factories
South Africans' interest in cheese has grown significantly over the past few years. However, it was the hosting of the SA National Cheese Festival in Franschhoek in 2000 which really put South African cheeses on the map. We now have a thriving local cheese industry with both boutique cheese producers and commercial producers creating quality cheese with individuality.
