New Protea Hotel for Entebbe on Lake Victoria's Ugandan shore

Construction is about to start on the new Protea Hotel Entebbe, a luxurious lakeside retreat and business hotel.

The 4-star hotel, which will be fronted by mooring on Lake Victoria, will have 75 rooms from Standard to Suite, each accommodating two GUESTS.
The property is just 1km from the Entebbe International Airport and will also have conference rooms and boardrooms for executive gatherings and retreats.
The sleek and modern rooms will be equipped with air-conditioning, balconies, flat-screen satellite television, refrigerators, safes, executive work stations and seating areas.

The Protea Hotel Entebbe will also have a continental restaurant, Tides, serving breakfast lunch and dinner, and a cocktail bar for guests to enjoy the outstanding lake views.The hotel is being built 1km from the Entebbe Golf Course, the botanical gardens and the Entebbe Zoo.
Stuart Cook, Managing Director of Protea Hotels Uganda, said they were extremely excited by the new development, which is owned by Peter Segawa.

Protea Hospitality Group Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue, Danny Bryer, said the company’s expansion in Africa was due to the strong brand equity built up in eight African countries, and the management expertise garnered in more than 25 years of African hospitality.

The hotel is expected to open in February 2012.
