Mpumalanga

Mpumalanga, ‘place where the sun rises’ in the local languages of Siswati and Zulu, is bordered by Gauteng in the west, and Mozambique and Swaziland in the east. Mainly situated on the high plateau grasslands of the Middleveld, Mpumalanga rises towards mountain peaks in the northeast. Climate

Although mild in winter, Mpumalanga can become very cold in the highveld regions. Mpumalanga enjoys a hot summer with summer rainfall, especially in the lowveld regions.
