Prokard Tops the 100 000 Mark!

Prokard, Protea Hotel's loyalty card has topped the 100 000 mark and is still growing. Launched in the 1980's, Prokard is the most successful hotel loyalty card in South Africa. It targets the relatively small frequent travel market encompassing sectors from entry level emerging markets through to the executive chairman stratum. The programme offers members exclusive accommodation and dining privileges throughout the group as well as added value from partnership agreements.

Both tiers of the programme (silver and gold) are based on 'paid-up' subscribers who select to be part of the programme and who derive direct benefits. "To have broken the 100 000 barrier is hugely significant for us. It means that our programme is adding value to the market," comments Danny Bryer, Group Sales and Marketing Director.
