Kaya, the 10 000 square foot luxury spa at African Pride Tribe Hotel in Nairobi has been listed on the Condé Nast Traveller Hot List Spas 2011 as one of the 40 hottest spas in the world. Reflecting the true mysticism and enchantment of the Kaya forests, the spa offers a variety of body treatments, scrubs and massages using the best of Spa Siam, Dermalogica and Mama Mio skincare products. The dark walls and natural wood floors inspired by Phillipe Starck, combined with colourful African art reflect the glamourous and sophisticated design of Tribe whilst still maintaining the warmth and personality of Kenya. Condé Nast Traveller particularly commented on Kaya Spa’s Kenya Gold treatment that includes a full-body coffee scrub “that smells good enough to drink”, followed by a stimulating massage. African Pride Tribe Hotel’s general manager Mark Somen said he was justifiably proud. “The incredible amount of hard work that was put in by the team has paid off and been recognised by such an illustrious magazine.” Danny Bryer, Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue for the Protea Hospitality Group, offered congratulations to the hotel and spa. “The African Pride Tribe Hotel is the finest example of new African Hospitality. Its striking design and superior service epitomise everything that is African Pride Hotels. It is a magnificent property with a culture of service excellence that surpasses the most exacting standards. The fact that African Pride Hotels keep winning awards is a testament to the highest international standards of service, accommodation and facilities on offer.” |
