The Inselberg named Zuma Rock is situated approximately 50 kms north of Abuja, on the way to Kaduna. This fascinating rock appears different from each point of the compass, changing from a grotesque face with a crooked nose, through a giant head resembling a Red Indian facing skyward, to a crouching elephant. Many discussions have lead to endless debates about the innumerable interpretations available.

Gurara Falls are situated along the Suleja Minna Road, approximately 100 km from Abuja. The waterfall gained its name from the village bordering the river and was said to be a popular site for sacrifices for its local inhabitants.

However, with the advent of tourism, Gurara Falls has become one of the nations most beautiful tourist attractions with both picnic and recreational facilities available.

The waterfall is most impressive during the rainy season when the river is at its fullest with large volumes of water cascading over the top, creating rainbows in the spray below.
